REP THE BUCKEYES ON YOUR VIDEO CONFERENCE CONTEST

(NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN; VOID WHERE PROHIBITED)

ELIGIBILITY

Rep the Buckeyes On Your Video Conference Contest (the “Contest”) is open to legal residents in the United States over the age of 18. Employees, board members, and trustees of The Ohio State University (“OSU”), its affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies as well as their immediate families (including spouse, parents, siblings, and children) and their respective household members, are not eligible to enter. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited.  Buckeye Nation Rewards (“BNR”) is a program of OSU. All decisions made by OSU in connection with this Contest, including without limitation, decisions related to eligibility requirements, are final and binding. 

OSU reserves the right to reject any entry if, in its sole discretion, the laws of an applicable jurisdiction, including but not limited to the entrant’s jurisdiction of residence at the time of entry, would prohibit or limit OSU from proceeding with the Contest as intended or the consideration or awarding of any prize would impose additional administrative, tax, operational, or legal obligations on OSU.  OSU reserves the right to disqualify any person that violates these Official Rules or tampers with or abuses any aspect of the Contest as solely determined by OSU.

ENTRY PERIOD

The Contest begins at 2:00 p.m. EST on May 14, 2020 and ends at 11:59 p.m. EST on June 12, 2020 the (“Entry Period”). Entries submitted before or after the Entry Period will not be eligible.

AGREEMENT TO OFFICIAL RULES

Participation in the Contest constitutes entrants’ full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules and the decisions of OSU, which are final and binding. Winning a prize is contingent upon being compliant with these Official Rules and fulfilling all other requirements set forth herein.

HOW TO ENTER

All entries must be:

1. Photo/Video submission must be posted to eligible social media platforms (Twitter or Instagram) and tagged with the hashtag #GoBuckeyesBNR. Photo/Video submissions must include Buckeye gear or colors.
2. Upload in your photo/video by clicking here which complies with these Official Rules along with your name, address, and primary phone number. 
3. Mail in: Mail in your photo/video which complies with these Official Rules along with your name, address, and primary phone number. Address: Attn Buckeye Nation Rewards Ohio State University, 2400 Olentangy River Road, Suite E146, Columbus, OH 43215

Limited to one entry per person, per household. Entries received from any person, email address, social media account, or household in excess of the stated limitation will be void. All entries become the property of OSU and will not be acknowledged or returned.

In order to be deemed eligible for participation and to be deemed a valid Contest entry, the photo/video submitted and/or the entrant submitting them must meet the following conditions:

• The image must show participant in Buckeye gear or colors, using correct #GoBuckeyesBNR.
• Entrants must have the consent, release, and/or permission of each and every identifiable individual person (“Subject”) in the photo/video to use the Subject’s name, likeness and image to enable OSU to include the photo/video in this Contest and to use the photo/video for promotional purposes in any media, worldwide, without compensation or objection;
• Entries must not defame or invade the publicity or privacy rights of any person, living or deceased, or otherwise infringe upon any person’s personal or proprietary rights;
• Entries must not, in the sole and unfettered discretion of OSU, contain obscene, provocative, defamatory, sexually explicit or otherwise objectionable or inappropriate content.

• Entries must not contain material that is unlawful, in violation of or contrary to the laws or regulations of the United States or any jurisdiction where the entry was created.

• Entries must not contain corrupted files, viruses, or any other similar software files, the intent of which is to damage the operation of another’s computer.

CONTEST JUDGING CRITERIA

Submissions will be judged based on the following criteria: (1) emotional or entertainment value; (2) creativity; and (3) photo/video quality. Judging will be conducted by a panel of three (5) judges to be selected by OSU in its sole discretion (the “Panel”). The Panel will evaluate all valid entries and select the winners from all eligible entries. 

A total of 3 winners will be selected (the “Winners”). All judging decisions are final. Please do not contact OSU or BNR about the status of entries or judging.

POTENTIAL WINNER REQUIREMENTS

Except where prohibited, a potential winner may be required to complete and return an affidavit of eligibility, including proof of age, and liability/publicity release within 14 days. If a potential winner fails to return these requested documents on time, an alternate potential winner may be selected in his/her place.

PRIZES

OSU will select and award prizes to 3 Winners.  First Place Winner will receive a Ergotron Officially Licensed Ohio State WorkFit-TL Sit-Stand Desktop Workstation. Second Place Winner will receive an Ergotron Officially Licensed Ohio State WorkFit Floor Mat. Third Place will receive an Grimm Industries Officially Licensed Ohio State Rotating Illuminated Team Spirit Wall Sign.

The Prizes must be redeemed on or before June 14, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. EST. If a prize is unclaimed, the prize will be forfeited and OSU may or may not, in its sole discretion, select an alternate winner.    

Winners are responsible for paying any taxes and any and all other costs and expenses not listed above, including, but not limited to, customs fees, if applicable. A Prize may not be transferred and must be accepted as awarded. A Winner may not request cash or a substitute prize. 

RESULTS

Winners will be contacted and notified directly by OSU via email from support@buckeyenationrewards.com or vonderhaar.26@osu.edu. 

OSU will use the contact information provided by Winner in his/her email submission or via direct message through the social media account used to submit the entry.  In the event the Winner has provided faulty contact information, an alternate Winner may be selected.   

A Winners list will also be posted to buckeyenationrewards.com on or before June 14, 2020. 

GENERAL CONDITIONS

In the event that the operation, security, or administration of the Contest is impaired in any way, OSU may, in its sole discretion, either: (a) suspend the Contest to address the impairment and then resume the Contest; or (b) award the Prize(s) from among the eligible entries received up to the time of the impairment. OSU reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify and seek damages from any individual who tampers with the operation of the Contest, violates these Official Rules, or acts in a disruptive, unethical or unsportsmanlike manner. OSU’s failure to enforce any provision of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. Proof of sending any communication to OSU by mail shall not be deemed proof of receipt of that communication by OSU. In the event of a dispute as to the owner of an online entry, the authorized account holder of the e-mail address used to enter will be deemed to be the owner.

RELEASE AND LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY

By entering the Contest, you agree to release and hold harmless OSU, its respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents (the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Contest or receipt or use of any Prize, including, but not limited to: (a) unauthorized human intervention in the Contest; (b) technical errors; (c) printing errors; (d) late or undelivered mail or notice; (e) errors in the administration of the Contest; or (f) injury or damage to persons or property. You waive the right to claim any attorneys’ fees and any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct, or indirect damages. Except where prohibited, by accepting a prize, the winner grants OSU a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use winner’s name and/or likeness without further authorization, compensation, or remuneration of any kind for advertising, promotion, and other publicity purposes.

OSU’S USE OF ENTRIES

Submitting an entry and participating in the Contest constitutes entrant’s (a) consent to grant OSU, its affiliates and its respective successors, assigns, and licensees, a royalty-free, irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive, worldwide, unrestricted and transferable license to use edit, alter, copy, reproduce, modify, disclose, publish, remove, create derivative works from, distribute, exhibit, display or otherwise exploit the entry in whole or in part, and to incorporate it into other works, in any form, in any and all media or technology now known or later developed, for any purpose whatsoever including, without limitation, use for any advertising or promotional purposes, without additional compensation or notification to entrant; and (b) release of OSU and any entity acting on behalf of OSU from any and all claims relating to the use of entrant’s entry.

DISPUTES

You agree that any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, the Contest or any Prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court located in Columbus, Ohio. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, your rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of OSU in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Ohio, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of Ohio or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than Ohio.

REQUEST FOR A PRINTED COPY OF A WINNERS LIST:

To request a printed copy of the winners list, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope with your request to Buckeye Nation Rewards, 2400 Olentangy River Road, Suite E146, Columbus, OH 43215, Attention:  [Insert Contest title] Contest. Requests must be received on or before [45 days following entry period].
